PLAIN PRETTY

PLAIN PRETTY
29.03.2010
Lately we've seen all sorts of shoes: extreme shoes, trophy shoes, ugly shoes, fierce shoes... handbags were over and shoes were everything. The higher the heel and the more complicated the design, the better.
Even though I love shoes (and God knows I do) I'm glad to say: no more! Come fall, the feminine and just plain pretty shoe will re-emerge. Look at these pretty Minni Mouse ones. I'm looking forward to wearing something alike.

THE MARCH ISSUE

THE MARCH ISSUE
28.03.2010
It's sunday today and this morning my plan was this: return a pair of pants to Zara (awful fit), buy a brand new fashion magazine, read it over tea and apple pie and afterwards, off to the gym.

So I went to Zara and then went to buy a magazine. But when I was in the store and I flipped through almost all the magazines they had, nothing seemed to really inspire me. So I thought: I'll just buy British Vogue and be done with it. But then again, I hated the cover and the May issue isn't in stores yet so I thought I'll just wait for that one. And V Magazine had a nice cover with Dakota Fanning, but the content didn't speak to me me one bit. What to do?

And then it hit me... I am so fucking decadent!! I'm standing here, trying to buy a new magazine, when at home, I have at least 2 beautiful glossy magazines that I've barely even touched!!

So here I am, finally reading British Vogue, the March issue. And you know what? It's kind of nice to read the March issue when it is indeed, actually, March.

ISABEL MARANT F/W 2010

ISABEL MARANT F/W 2010

20.03.2010
I'm a big Isabel Marant fan. I love her collections for their simple and elegant style, and their feminine but unfussy vibe. What I also love about Isabel Marant is that I can afford her clothes! Don't get me wrong: I still think they're expensive. But they're not expensive in a Lanvin / Dries van Noten way.
For Fall/Winter 2010 she gave us fifties elements, with an eighties silhouet. I think that this summer, I will be obsessed with fitted pants just above the ankle.

I finally bought a very cool leather jacket! Yes! I was at SPRMRKT this weekend and discovered this brand I hadn't heard of before: Muubaa. It's from London and they specialize in leather goods. I think mine is a little Rick Owen-esk. Check out www.muubaa.co.uk.

Emmanuelle Alt looks beautiful here. Very natural but well taken care of. Love the jeans with the tailored jacket. I think I need one of those.

I'm into green coats lately. Green parka's, military style vintage ones, doesn't matter. Like this one: cool, tough, stylish and feminine at the same time.

WATCH

WATCH
01.03.2010
For months I've been obsessed with Mary-Kate's gold Rolex watch. So wrong. So right. So, when I was in Paris last week, I bought one for myself. No silly, not a Rolex! But a very cool gold watch. I bought it at Colette (best shop in Paris) after I had lunch in the Colette cafe (on my own!). It was a good afternoon.
